The Forever promise
No subscription required. A Graklink dynamic QR code keeps redirecting, and your destination does not disappear because of a billing event.
If Graklink closes, we will stop onboarding new customers, service existing customers for 12 months, and keep redirects and destination editing available afterward. Here is what that promise covers before you share your QR code.

Why we can keep it running
A website and redirect service can run on modest infrastructure. Keeping Graklink online still means paying for domain renewals, hosting, storage, maintenance and destination editing.
If we stop taking new customers, we can size the infrastructure for existing redirects, hosted pages and destination edits instead of new sales activity. Graklink is not its parent company's only source of revenue. The ongoing costs are manageable even without new Graklink sales. That is why we commit to keeping the supporting domains hosted and accessible.
Your QR code keeps redirecting
A dynamic QR code sends someone who scans it through a Graklink address to the destination you set. We do not charge by scan, and no subscription is required for that redirect. The same billing rule protects Grow-created redirects even before an item becomes permanently yours.
A static QR code works differently. It contains the destination itself, so it does not depend on a Graklink redirect or account. You cannot change its printed destination through Graklink, and we cannot count its scans.
Other providers handle cancellation differently, so check before you share a QR code. Some stop the redirect; others keep it and restrict editing. Bitly's help centre, for example, says ordinary bit.ly links and their QR codes keep working after a downgrade, while custom domains have separate conditions (Bitly support, checked 15 September 2026).
What you own and what can change
- Domain in the patterngrakl.ink/your-slug
- The redirectReceives each scan and sends it on
- Your destinationThe destination you set
A working dynamic QR code has three parts: the domain encoded in the pattern, the destination it opens, and the redirect between them that receives each scan and sends it on. Owning the destination or the domain is not enough on its own; someone has to keep the redirect running. Graklink sells that redirect, not a domain: your QR code encodes an address such as grakl.ink/your-slug, and customer-owned domains are not part of the offer. A phone's scanner can show that address before opening it, and the pattern can never be changed to point at a different domain later.
Link purchases: A purchased dynamic QR code or permanent short link has an editable destination without a recurring plan charge. A purchased hosted page remains yours to publish through the service. You own the item, not the Graklink domain or the infrastructure behind it.
Grow items: A QR code, short link or hosted page becomes permanently owned after 12 continuous calendar months in a Grow slot. You can also buy out an eligible item early. Ending Grow before an item vests can freeze editing, but its existing redirect or last published page keeps serving. A vested or purchased item keeps its ownership after cancellation. See the Grow ownership rules.
Included short links: An included link that you have not purchased and that was not created through Grow has different rules. Without permanent ownership or an active editing entitlement, its destination is fixed. It can stop redirecting after 30 days without a recorded click, following a warning; its owner can restore a reclaimed link in the dashboard. Permanent and Grow-created links are excluded from that inactivity process. Read the included-link terms.
Redirects and analytics are different
There is no scan or click quota on a Graklink redirect. The redirect can keep working when a paid analytics plan ends. During normal service, basic lifetime QR scan counts and short-link click counts remain available without Track. Deeper Track analytics, reports and other paid features depend on the applicable subscription; do not read “unlimited scans” as unlimited access to those features.
Without an active Grow subscription, an unvested item's destination can be locked at its last setting until you restore an eligible editing entitlement or complete a buyout. Purchased and vested items retain destination editing under the service terms. Compare current plans and prices.
If Graklink closes
- Closing the businessStop onboarding new customers
- 12 months of serviceKeep servicing existing customers
- After that service periodRedirects continue and destination editing remains available on the supporting domains
Closing the business would mean stopping new customer onboarding. We would keep servicing existing customers for 12 months. Our terms also commit us to at least 12 months' notice and a migration path for active QR codes if we wind down the service. If that happens, we will give customers the dates and migration steps.
After that service period, Graklink would keep grakl.ink and its supporting domains hosted and accessible on infrastructure sized for the remaining work. That includes grak.link, graklink.net and graklink.com. Existing redirects would continue, and destination editing would remain available. Continued analytics, support and the full dashboard feature set are not part of that after-period commitment.
Keeping those domains operating is a hosting commitment. It does not transfer ownership of the domains to customers or promise that another company will operate the service.
Limits and exceptions
This promise does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or keep an outside destination online. A refunded item can be retired. Account deletion disables its dynamic QR codes, short links and hosted content. We may restrict unsafe or unlawful use, and valid legal or trademark action can affect an address. An included short link remains subject to its inactivity rules. These exceptions are separate from subscription cancellation.
For the full purchase, refund, deletion and availability terms, read our terms of service. If your QR code has a problem, contact us with the address so we can investigate.
