Is Canva’s QR code generator any good?

Yes. Canva’s native QR tool creates dynamic QR codes and lets you update the destination after printing. If you already design your shop’s flyers in Canva, creating the QR code there keeps the work in one place.

The Canva features and prices below are from our August 7, 2026 check. Compare branding, scan reporting and who can edit the destination against the options currently shown in your Canva account.

Why is there a Canva logo on my QR code?

Because on Free and Canva Pro, that is the default, and you cannot change it.

Canva’s help center says it directly: new QR codes on Free and Canva Pro include the Canva icon by default. Uploading your own logo, or removing theirs, requires Canva Business or Canva Enterprise. Canva Business runs $250 a year per person on the pricing checked below.

For a flyer or business card, decide whether you want a plain QR code or your own logo in the center.

At Graklink, your logo in the middle is an option, and the designer checks artwork and contrast; test the final file on the intended print or display.

Can you see who scans a Canva QR code?

Canva’s Scan Insights require Business or Enterprise. Those reports include scan totals, locations and devices; they do not identify each person who scans.

Every Graklink dynamic QR code includes a scan counter, with no subscription.

What happens to a Canva QR code later?

Canva’s reviewed help page does not describe billing-based expiry. It documents content-policy deactivation and account-based editing. Continued availability is a separate question from which plan includes reporting.

The QR code remains associated with its creator’s Canva account. Only that creator can edit its destination, according to the help page. Older QR codes from the previous QR app remain static. The separate marketplace app named Dynamic QR Codes is Hovercode’s product and follows its rules.

A purchased Graklink QR code is managed in your Graklink account. Destination editing and basic scan counts are included without a subscription, so you can use the same QR code in designs made with Canva or another design tool.

Which should you use?

Keep using the design tool that suits your work. Canva’s native QR feature may cover your needs if its branding and reporting conditions fit. You can also upload a Graklink QR image to a Canva design.

Basic counts and editing stay included with a Graklink QR code. The same purchase can route iPhone and Android scans to their matching app pages, or change destinations by time and day.

Common questions

Are Canva QR codes free?

Canva’s current native QR tool creates dynamic QR codes on all plans. Its help page says new QR codes on Free and Pro include the Canva icon, while custom logos and QR Insights require Business or Enterprise.

Are Canva QR codes static or dynamic?

The current built-in tool makes dynamic QR codes; you can change the destination anytime. Older QR codes made with Canva's previous QR app are static: Canva confirms they keep working but cannot be converted to dynamic. If your Canva QR code predates the new tool, treat it as unchangeable.

How do I remove the Canva logo from my QR code?

On new QR codes, you need Canva Business or Canva Enterprise; Free and Canva Pro QR codes include the Canva icon by default and preset logos are not available. Canva Business is $250 a year per person.

Do Canva QR codes expire?

Canva’s reviewed documentation does not describe billing-based expiry. QR codes remain associated with the creator’s account and follow Canva’s platform rules. Older static QR codes cannot be converted into dynamic ones.
