Graklink vs Uniqode: which should you use?

Uniqode bundles dynamic QR codes with management and analytics features. Graklink lets you buy a QR code individually, with editing and basic counts included. A shop putting its reorder link on a magnet may only need the individual QR code; a team managing many branded destinations may need more.

No, and the confusion is completely fair. There are two products with almost the same name:

Uniqode’s own plans run from $9 a month billed yearly (15 QR codes) up to $399 a month (2,000 QR codes), and TQRCG’s Flex plan starts at $10 a month billed yearly with a small dynamic QR code allowance. There is no one-time or lifetime option on either.

What does Uniqode do better than Graklink?

Uniqode’s platform includes bulk creation, long analytics retention, team seats and custom domains on higher tiers. Its related TQRCG product offers a free ad-supported option. These are separate products with separate plans.

Uniqode is worth considering when several people need to manage large numbers of QR codes on their own domains. Graklink does not replace every enterprise management feature.

Do Uniqode QR codes stop working if you stop paying?

Yes, and this is the difference that matters the moment something is printed. It works two slightly different ways across their two products, and both are worth knowing before you laminate anything.

On Uniqode’s own product, dynamic QR codes deactivate outright. Their help center says that “dynamic QR Codes are deactivated after your trial period expires,” and a separate doc adds that QR codes “will only expire if your Uniqode account is canceled. People scanning an expired QR Code will be prompted to an error page.” So a lapse or a cancellation turns a printed QR code into a dead end.

On TQRCG, it is softer but still costs you. When a subscription expires, most dynamic QR codes go inactive; up to two of them stay alive on the free plan, but those play “a short, 3-second advertisement” before sending the scanner on. So your printed QR code either dies or shows your customer someone else’s ad for three seconds before your own page loads.

Purchased Graklink QR codes retain destination editing, unlimited scans and basic counts without a subscription.

One purchase versus a monthly plan

Uniqode’s cited entry plan is $108 a year for 15 QR codes, and that cost recurs every year the QR codes stay active. A Graklink QR code is a one-time purchase, and you keep editing and basic counts without a subscription.

When to pick which

• Pick Graklink if you want to print a QR code once and trust it for years: no recurring bill, no ad over your redirect, and no way for a missed payment to switch it off. Best for solo operators and small businesses.
